Papa Johns Community Cup Try of the Tournament Terms & Conditions

Introduction

These are the rules for the 2024 Papa Johns Community Cup (PJCC) Try of the Tournament Prize to win a Visit by an England Rugby Red Roses Assistant Coach.

The Prizes

The prize-winning team will receive:

  • X1 Visit by an England Rugby Red Roses Assistant Coach for a maximum of 90 minutes.

 

Visit by an England Rugby Red Roses Assistant Coach Prize:

  • Papa John’s (GB) Ltd. (Promoter) will advise to the prize-winning team the date, time, and location of the Visit.
  • The date / time is non-negotiable, and no alternative date / time will be offered.
  • The England Rugby Red Roses Assistant Coach Visit will last no more than 90 minutes and may include the Coach supporting a club-led training session, engaging with players, signing autographs.
  • The Visit must be organised between Papa John’s (GB) Ltd., and the prize-winning team and the Visit must take place no later than 11:59pm on August 31st, 2024.
  • The prize-winning team may be required to travel to a designated location to claim and access the Visit prize.

Who can enter?

  • The Promotion is only open to players signed on and registered to play for an eligible team in the 2024 Papa Johns Community Cup.
  • All eligible entries must be submitted through the following to its entirety:
  1. The entrant must post on Twitter their video submission and complete the following:
    1. Tag @RFU within the copy on the Twitter social media post.
    2. Tag @PapaJohnsUK within the copy on the Twitter social media post.
    3. Use #PapaJohnsCommunityCup within the copy on the Twitter social media post.
    4. Hashtag the fixture name of the try the clip comes from e.g. #ClubAvClubB

If any offensive language is included within any elements of the submission entry, the submission will be considered ineligible. Any further entries originating from the Twitter account associated with an ineligible post will be denied entry submission.

  • Eligible entries will need to be safeguarding approved by the Rugby Football to verify their entry submission.
  • Proof of participation may be required.
  • Employees of Papa John’s (GB) Ltd (the “Promoter”), or any company within the same group of companies as the Promoter, their agents or anyone professionally associated with the Promotion (Associates) and their immediate families are not allowed to enter.

What is the closing date to enter the competition?

  • Entries will be closed 11:59pm on Monday 20th May 2024.

How will the winner be chosen?

  • All eligible entries will be posted by @RFU Twitter account in a compilation video post.
  • The video will be posted no later than Wednesday 15th May 2024.
  • In the post, the public will be asked to vote for their favourite try, by commenting the name of the club they wish to win the prize in the comments beneath the post.
  • The try/ club with the most votes in the comments within 48 hours of the post will be deemed the winning team.

How will the winner be notified?

  • @RFU Twitter will publicly announce the winner, tagging the winning account and will also direct message the winning account.
  • The Promoter has the right to withdraw prize entitlement and award the prize to a reserve selected at the same time as the original.
  • Papa John’s (GB) Ltd will make reasonable efforts to assist and organise the event with the winning rugby team.

Post Promotion Publicity

  • The winner may be required to participate in reasonable publicity connected with the Promotion with no further recompense.

Substitution of Prize

  • Substitution or transfer of the prize by the winner is not permitted, and no cash alternative is offered.
  • No other alternative prize available, in whole or in part, save that the Promoter reserves the right to replace each prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it necessary to do so.

Your Privacy

  • By entering the Promotion, you are giving consent to use your personal details to facilitate the mechanics of this promotion.
  • The Promoter shall either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails competitions@papajohns.co.uk or writes to Papa Johns (GB) Ltd, 11 Northfield Drive, Tongwell, Milton Keynes MK15 0DQ (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the closing date stated above. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter at Papa Johns (GB) Ltd, 11 Northfield Drive, Tongwell, Milton Keynes MK15 0DQ. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request. The Promoter will only use personal data submitted by entrants in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which is available by clicking here.

Brand Protection

  • The winner must not do anything which could, in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter, bring the Promoter or any of the Associates into disrepute before, during or after this Promotion.

  • Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
  • The Promoter’s decision on all aspects of this promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
  • The Promoter has the right to refuse to award the Prize to anyone whom it reasonably believes has broken any of these rules.
  • The Promotion may be, in whole or in part, provided by The Rugby Football Union, this Prize Draw is in no other way sponsored, endorsed, organized or administered by The Rugby Football Union or any of its affiliates. The Rugby Football Union names, logos, and/or materials are used for purposes of promotion and/or prize descriptions only and such use is not intended to suggest or imply The Rugby Football Union sponsorship of the Promotion.

Governing law

  • These terms and conditions and this Promotion are governed by English law. If any entrants to this Promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
