Save the Date: 4 Food Days Taking Place in 2017

The great thing about food is there are so many different types available to experience, try, taste and enjoy.

Some types of food we grow to love and others we decide we’re just not a fan of, but because there’s so much on offer, we always find something that our taste buds like.

So, with the year coming to a close, we’re taking a look forward at some of the food dates you need to remember in preparation for 2017.

It’s time to get the diary out and save the date.

1.    National Pizza Day – 9th February

Garden Party

Now no list of important food days would be complete without a nod to the food that we know we all love the most, and here it is.

Moving into the second month of the year, 9th February plays host to National Pizza Day – and what a day this will be!

Now you know in advance, it’s the perfect excuse to invite your friends, family and loved ones over to sit back, relax and share your favourite slices together.

What would your favourite pizza toppings be if you had to choose? Would you go for chicken, sausage or one of the mighty meats, or would you select the essentials like cheese or tomato? It’s a tough decision.

The great thing about pizza is it’s so versatile and there are so many flavours for everyone to enjoy.

So, don’t forget to make a note of this one in the diary and, of course, you know where we are if you want to place an order.

2.    British Tomato Week – 22nd–28th May

We know we said we’d look at days, but with this event we’re giving you a little more time to enjoy all that this food has to offer.

Great in salads, sandwiches and of course on top of a pizza, fresh tomatoes make for a great ingredient in a number of staple and delicious meals.

If you know us well, you’ll be aware that here at Papa John’s we live by the ethos that better ingredients make better pizza, and it all starts with the tomato.

What great flavour our tomato offers: juicy, fresh and mouth-watering, it’s the perfect complement ingredient and it will be well worth celebrating this traditional British food when the time comes in May.
